I dont see anyone even somewhat close to Tupac!. In the rap game, It's Tupac _ and then everybody else!. I'll argue about the second best All day!. But number one, I wont even discuss it!. TUPAC, yesterday, today, last week, last month, last decade, everyday, all day, and until the end of time!. So who do you think is the best!?

i think lyrically i would say either Nas or immortal Technique!. man you got read these guys's lyrics, especially nas he is whack!. i am like 2pac's #1 fun ever, i own all his albums, tracks, posters, poems, almost anything from him lol!.2pac is the best rapper, he rapped on all subjects, thats he appealed to many different people!. his lyrics are whack but not the greatest!. still tho, he rhymes and flows like crazy

Why ask the question and then hate on all the answers!? Just because your realm of artists isn't wide enough to be familiar with all the MC's named doesn't mean you have to hate on some of them!. These are opinions just like yours!.
Don't ask such a broad question if you're only point of reference is Tupac, who is a good artist if you like that type of rap, but isn't even really considered a hip hop lyricist!. He told nice stories and gave messages of either hope or how it was in the streets, but where is the lyricism!?!?
He didn't use metaphors and simile to create pictures in your mind of what he rapped about!.!.he doesn't have a bunch of ill lines in his repetoire!.!.!.he was basic in his level of creativity, he just had enough mass appeal and popularity to reach alot of people, and alot of people related to what he said so they love his music!.
I nominate Black Thought, Nas, Ghostface, Common and KRS-One in a tie!. They all have classic examples of strong lyricism and could rap Tupac 6 feet deeper in their sleep!.
