Did i damage my bass by unscrewing the input jack?!

Question: Did i damage my bass by unscrewing the input jack!?
I noticed there was some plastic film around my input jack on my bass that was left from the pickguard!. I unscrewed the little screw(nut or whatever) around it and removed the plastic but the input jack also fell into the body of the bass!. This is a squier p bass with a pickguard around the input jack!. I reattached it and noticed some rattling so i unscrewed it again and it was gone!. It sound just find and everything but is there any damage to the wires or soldering if i do that!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
NO, you would have to pull pretty hard to disconnect the wires!. I've been playing and repairing my guitars for 20 years!. The internals can take some abuse!. You will definately notice it if you damage it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you start losing sound, then Id worry about whether you've done any damage!. Provided, when you are plugged in, you have sound thru your amp, everything is fine!. The vibration was obviously just that you hadn't tightened the locking nut properly!. Just plug 'er in and get stuck into 'er!Www@Enter-QA@Com

As long as its sounding good with no cracking or poping, its fine!. Alot of times when people tighten them up, because they do come lose after constant use, they will actually turn the whole jack rather than just the nut and it will pull one of the wires off, or damage the connections!. Still, its an easy fix with a little know how and a soldering iron!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
