i like 90's alternative, grunge, punk, and German rock and metal, some more modern bands i like are Protest the Hero, Rammstein, Radiopilot, Silversun Pickups, The Hurt Process, Kain, Revolverheld, All That Remains, Against Me!, Cold War Kids, Beck, Tool, and Thee Armada!. For All That Remains - Bullet for My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Shadows Fall, if looking for something harder and more technical you could try Opeth
Beck is pretty unique, I don't know anything similar!.
Tool I can really help you on - A Perfect Circle(highlyhighly suggest), Puscifer, Nine Inch Nails, Porcupine Tree, Queens of Stone Age, Primus, and the Mars Volta
Everything else I don't really like so I couldn't suggest anything helpful!.
