Guru from Gang Starr?!

Question: Guru from Gang Starr!?
How can he sound so gifted when spitting over Premo beats yet so blah when flowing over other producers like Solaar!? I guess what I'm trying to say is!.!.!.did Premo's production make Guru seem like a better MC than what he really is!? Please discuss!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Guru is my favourite MC of all time!. I also rate him in the top 10 of all time!. Yes he was blessed with some of the sickest beats ever put on wax but he also did it without Premier (see Jazzmatazz Vol 1 & 2)!. His unique monotone style worked for me!. His lyrics were decent, he rapped about various topics some of them socially conscious!. And his flow was smooth!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You got it!.!.!.I think that Premos beats and the distinctive voice that Guru has gets him by!.!.!.but as far as lyrics I dont think that Guru was ever that great!.!.!.!.If you noticed Guru's albums without Premo production did to so great!.!.!.Even tho Guru as a producer productions sound similar to Premo!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes it did!. The ol boom bap sound suits gurus "monotone with my own drone" type voice!. These are old school dudes who rep real hip hop to the fullest!. I was similarly disappointed with V!.7 because of the fact premo was missing and to me guru without premo is straight up blasphemy!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have thought that at times but I think where Guru's strengths lie is actually in the simplicity of his rhymes that break down the scenario into bite size pieces!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Guru is the most monotone rapper!. The entire Gangstarr discography would be better if it was just instrumentals!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Solaar is gifted as hell, he can make anyone's flow sound bad

I think Premo does make him sound better thoughWww@Enter-QA@Com
