I have a recording of her last performance at the Filmore West which was actually her last performance before she died!. The song I'm referring to is a brilliant blues piece called "Ball and Chain!." It's a 12 minute song and really drives the dagger in the heart!. YES, I LOVED HER MUSIC!
My favorite single is probably "Summertime"
My favorite album she did is when she was with Big Brother and the Holding Company!. The album is called "Cheap Thrills"!.
The album was originally entitled "Sex, Drugs and Cheap Thrills", but the record company wouldn't allow the title to be printed because the content was too strong, so the band shortened the name!.
