When is it time to give up on the dream of being a pro musician?!

Question: When is it time to give up on the dream of being a pro musician!?
I played guitar for several junior high choir "spring shows"

I sang "another one rides the bus" at a high school "spring show" and ruled the crowd

I rule a karaoke floor, anytime, anyplace

Right outta high school, our thrash band opened up for a local death metal band

if that's all I got, maybe it's time to focus on my day job!.

at what age is one "too old" to make it!? I mean the greats have deals by the time they are in their late teens or twentiesWww@Enter-QA@Com

dont ever ever EVER give up on that dream!.

EDIT: EVER!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Depends on your definition of pro musician!. A pro musician can be someone who works in a record store by day, plays out in the evenings, and teaches guitar on Saturday!. Lots of pro musicians make a living in the music world, even if they don't become world famous stars!. If music is your passion, then you will find a way to stay connected to and earn some kind of living with music!. If you just want to be famous, then there are other ways besides music!. You have to figure out what's important to you, first!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Too old!? That never really occured to me!. I always thought age wouldn't matter in rock music!. I mean, if some of the veterean musicians are rocking out decades after they first appeared seems like you could be over the hill and still get known!. But then again, what do I know!? I'm just a kidd!.

(I like this question alot!. I've been thinking about the future alot lately!. I'd really like to be a musician one day and your question made me think more!.)

I think you should never toss out a dream!. Who knows what may or may not happen!. But don't let it rule your life!. You gotta do what it takes to pay your bills and be productive in life, even it means waking up for a normal boring 9 to 5!. But never throw away that guitar pick!.!.!. It's part of who you are, famous or not!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Your never too old to make it big!. It might not be your age, but your playing!.!.!.if no one likes your playing(nothing personal)then you'll NEVER make it!. That said, rappers (with the exception of maybe Tupac and Eminem) completley hands down SUCK and there are tons of of them!. So maybe there's a record deal out there waiting for you!. Go for it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
