Do you need a recording contract to become like a famous singer?!

Question: Do you need a recording contract to become like a famous singer!?
i was just wondering because i was watching this show about this guy who went to a recording studio to make a demo!. it got me thinking: if you can get into a recording studio, can you make your own albums without a producer and a label and stuff like that!? and if the answer to that was yes, how would you distribute to places like Target or Walmart or something!? Maybe if you have enough money, you can get in a studio!.!.!.but how much would that cost!?!?!? questions, questions!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
It depends on what kind of singer you want to be!. Opera and Broadway singers usually become famous before they are offered a recording contract!. They make their fame through live performances in theatres/opera houses or concerts!. They are usually famous before then!.

Jazz singers used to be like this, but now I think they depend more on a label for fame!.

For a recording artist, it depends on your luck!. MC Hammer (I know people laugh when you mention his name, but we are talking about before he squandered his money) became famous by selling his CD's out of a van!. It worked, because his album was so good, and he actually made more money selling out of his truck then the record label was offering artists!. Once a record label got wind of what kind of money he made, they offered him more of a percentage than the average artist for sales!. People can say what they want to about Hammer, but he was extremely smart going into his business!. He wasn't signed to anyone, and he made a name for himself before he signed a record deal!.

Nowadays, musicians are so frustrated with record labels that they are becoming independent artists!. Prince sells his own product, but he has the money to do it!. Unfortunately, many artists don't have the funds behind them to do so!. If you can get enough money behind your product and promote your product well, you could possibly become a famous singer!. Problem is, most artists have a hard time doing that, and it takes a shrewd person to make that happen without one!. That's why so many artists do sign before becoming famous for the security!. So to answer your question, yes!. But it just depends on your angle!.

Recording studios are pricey!. I would suggest calling around in your area and ask how much they charge!. It varied depending on the city and how much experience the person behind the scenes has!. All the best to you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

To become a famous singers, not likely, because of how distribution works!. However, there are lots of independent artists, and you literally can walk into a studio, pay some money, and record an album, then sell it anywhere that is willing to carry it!. If you want it in a major store, however, you'll need a distributor, which is usually handled by a record label!. Most stores like Wal-Mart have their own distributors who buy merchandise for each individual store, so the local store have little say in what they can carry!. Getting your album stocked there would be very difficult, however you could easily sell records at a local independent record store!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That's what Elvis did, he went and recorded some songs for his mother!. I guess some producer found him then!. You'd have to have a lot of money for the distribution!. It couldn't cost that much!. But if you'd want to become famous for that, it might be cheaper to just buy the equipment yourself!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

no, there are shows like America's Got Talent and the "Idol" shows from all around the world that can make you an instant star!. The people that win these things normally get a contract in some way or another!. The people that are in say the top three or 4 normally get a lot of publicity!.
Getting a contract is hard work, the first thing you need is talent!Www@Enter-QA@Com
