Jessica Simpson's Country Career?!
Question: Jessica Simpson's Country Career!?
Her debut country single showed some promise, but it stalled a couple weeks ago on the charts, and slipped a bit last week!. I haven't heard it on my station that much anymore, and they used to play it a lot!. I thought the single wasn't actually that bad, and I think if Carrie, Gretchen, Faith, or any other female country single released it it would be a hit!.
Her album isn't out yet, but it would appear to me country fans aren't really welcoming her!. Why do you think that is!? I think it's because of a couple reasons!.!.!.she seemed to be trying too hard (overdoing the cowboy boots and plaid shirts thing--jessica, take a look at carrie and taylor!. Do you see them in that stereotypical country outfit!?)!. But I think the main thing is it's simply a case of her public perception of her overtaking her career!. She put her life out there too much and has become a joke to the public, so as a result she will never get a real chance with country fans!.

I think she's still perceived as a pop singer!. also, she's become a "gossip" star!. People would rather read about her or see her on shows like TMZ!. No one cares about her performing anymore!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Maybe people are just tired of pop artists coming into country and thinking they win over an audience the way they did in other genres!. I have nothing against her, I to think her song was pretty good, but some people just don't think she and some others belong in country!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
I like her single!. I think its pretty good actually!. I didn't expect to, but I did!. I won't go out and buy her album, but I also wouldn't stoop down to the level of booing her off of the stage like some people did!. She has a good voice and I like her single!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I don't think shes a good country singer at all, of course the men like her cuz she slutty in everything she does, but from a women's point of view she sucks!. Shes trying to be another carrie underwood and it aint gonna happenWww@Enter-QA@Com
I heard it once and wanted to poke my ears out after the first two lines!. I took the easier route and changed the station!. I think SHE CAN'T SING and that is what is "stalling" the song!. The lack of talent!. Sure the fact that she is a joke and doesn't get it is hurting her, but the lack of singing ability hurts her more!. People also have a long enough memory to remember she is either a total dunce, or pretended to be, and Country doesn't want her!. I think she needs to get out from under her daddy's thumb and figure out what she wants to do!. Although I don't think it will do anything for her because she will always be remember for the joke he turned her in to!. Kinda sad that she acted like that to make a few dollars!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I heard the song before I realized it was her!. It honestly isn't a bad song!. People are judging her because she's a pop star and so much of her life is all over the tabloids!. The truth is, I have one of her first cd's and the girl has vocal talent!.
I agree with you about her outfits, though!. The days of Daisy Dukes should be left in the past!.
It also doesn't help that so many Dallas Cowboys fans hate her b/c of the stupid Romo controversy!.
