Answers:
I'm not sure there is such a thing as Boy Sopranos - There are Boy Choirs and Altos!.
( no offense !! - I may well be Wrong !! :)
Jon Anderson of Yes is an Alto ( higher than a Tenor )
Anyway - The only Genre of R&P-related music using Boy Choirs is Instumental or Electronic music!.
David Bedford's "The Odyssey" makes good use of this Atmospheric technique -- I think it may also be on his "Instructions for Angels" but, I am not sure!.
As far as a Single Boy Soloist ( with High voice )
The Soundtrack to "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover" have a Beautiful Vocal - But that is Soundtrack Music!.
I AM Looking forward to Others' Answers, here - to find out -- It's a great affect !!
What about Jimmy Somerville ( how old was he !?!? ) LOL
EDIT --
Oh, Good Piont "ROBIN" on Klaus Nomi!.!!
This Guy was New Wave Experimental and He's like listening to CABARET on ACID !!
!.!.!.and as Robin said - He has an extraordinary Octavenal(word!?) Range - though I believe his Higher Parts were actually "Falsetto" not "Soprano" - but that's my opinion!.
Okay - I just looked him up - for it's Wiki-Worth - they call him a "countertenor" - but either way - his Avant-Gardeness is LEGENDARY !!
