Question: Why do people say a band/song is overrated just because of it being in Guitar Hero!?

It's not because they are narrow minded it's because they are fed up with stupid games destroying songs they love!. also when people think they know things about a band because they played Guitar Hero it gets annoying and old really fast!. Another reason is when people go and say the song that they played was that bands biggest hit!. When in reality their are several bigger, better, underrated songs then the mainstream one that they just played!. Mainly it's because people think once they played these games they believe they know not only everything about that band but everything about music!.

usually, guitar hero picks a band's more commercially successful song, which is occasionally their most overrated song!. this isn't always the case!. But the songs can get REALLY overrated at times!. but not all of them!. and i'm pretty sure most of the bands are just good!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
People worship a band without knowing their history, or anything about them, except the song they beat on Guitar Hero!. Don't laugh, it's happened!. I've seen it first hand!. But they usually grow out of it and branch out!. I used to be one of those people, but I quickly grew out of that phase, and know a great deal about rock/ metal now!. I'm no rock guru or anything, but I know my way around pretty well!. I play real guitar as well!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Bands and songs aren't overrated for being in Guitar Hero!. The bad that comes from Guitar Hero are the posers who claim to love a band because they played ONE of their songs on a video game!.!.!.

the people who say that usually just hear the song too much and get sick of it while everyone else is in love it!. also it could be that the song in guitar hero is not the band's best song but everyone acts like it is!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
