Question: What to date has been the most memorable concert that you have been to, and why!?
Answers:
Hey Tex!. Long time no "see"

Hard to pick one-I've been to hundreds, maybe more!.
I was at Cal Jam 2 in the late 70s!. We got there the night before after waiting in traffic lines for hours!. We spread out our blankets and eventually fell asleep!. When we set up, we were at the back of the crowd!. When I woke up at dawn, there were people behind us as far as I could see!. That was pretty memorable, being in a crowd of several hundred thousand people!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

In South Africa we don't get a lot of international acts, but we do have a My Coke Fest, where 6 international bands flock out to S!.A for two shows!. So this year I attended the concert, and it was really amazing! We had 30 seconds to mars, Good Charlotte, Muse, The Kaizer Chiefs, Chris Cornell and Korn!. It was amazing, because it had such a relaxed vibe, and the people that were there, were so nice, not to mention the fact that I went with my friends, which made the experience even better!

I think the highlight was definitely Muse, when they performed Starlight! When Starlight was first released, it became my holiday song, and I used to play it every single day, and it must have been about 8 at night when they stared performing, and when Starlight came on, I just let go and danced the song through with my friends! I was an amazing feeling!

Another concert or gig I attended was the S!.A band formerly know as HARRIS TWEED!. I traveled to Stellenbosch with my dad, which is an hours drive, to watch them perform, and it was at this small venue, which made it very intimate and personal, plus I got to meet the band afterward! i've been to a lot and liked them all, but one that was really memorable was a blackhawk concert!. my husband, his cousin and his cousin's wife drove 3 hours to some podunk little town, stayed there all weekend in a not so nice motel, and saw blackhawk play at the county fair in a ramshackle barn!. It was so cheap, but it was fun!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

has to be Toby Keith this summer basically because of the event's that surrounded the concert itself!. Having a raffle for Allie's House and TK donated a hat he had encased specifically for us for the raffle was a highlight along with Eddie Montgomery donating a pair of his stage pant's not to mention the amount of money we raised!. To top it off, Toby and MG were a great combination!. Two headliners for the price of one!.!.!.lolWww@Enter-QA@Com

Levon Helm at the Ryman a few weeks ago!.

He is my second favorite vocalist (Waylon Jennings being my first) and I was just thrilled in general to get to see him!. When he first walked out on stage, it took all I had not to cry (I know!.!.!.lame!)!. On top of getting to see Levon, though, there were a few special guests that came on stage during the concert!.!.!.Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Little Sammy Davis, Sam Bush, John Hiatt, Buddy Miller and a few others!. It was AMAZING!.!.!.such a rush!. I had an unbelievable time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I seen Toby Keith 6 years ago and that was probably the best country concert I been too!. Even though he kinda makes me sick now,lol!.!.And I may of been at the same bar in Tulsa "cherrie0" was at, cause I've seen Fowler a few times up there over the years!.Always a good time!.!.We have been going to this thing the past 6 or 7 years now,so I have seen a lot!.!. http://country!.feverfest!.com/artists!.php

They had an an all dirt day this year with Fowler, Pat Green,Stoney Larue and Boland with Dierks Bentley closing, I think that was one of my favorite one day's of music ever!.I splurged this year and got VIP tickets,3rd row for all 4 days it was worth it!.Free beer, free food, yea! When Stony played it was raining, not a big crowd at the time except for us "die-hards"!. Pat Green who came on before Bentley, I thought was pretty neat because during his set, he had a Stony Laure hat on for much of it and he kept plugging Stony, saying he's the next Willie Nelson, and people missed a hell of a show!.He even sung Oklahoma Breakdown, then yelled at Stony to come on stage to help him!.They sung a couple more after that!.!.I just thought it was cool, because by then there was a full house,( or full field I should say,) of around 20,000 people getting ready for Bentley, and it was like Pat just did it to be a good guy and get Stony some good exposure to that many people!.!.Afterwords,when Dierks got done playing, they all came back to the stage and signed autographs,This was the first time I seen that, when they ALL come back!.!.The next day we went, some others were saying we left too early because after that in the VIP tent, Dierks, Boland and Stony all played some acoustic!.I thought they were lying untill they showed me the pics in their camera!.!.I missed it, just my luck!!.!.It's just nice to see that some of these guys make it big and don't forget about the little guys still trying to make it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Kevin Fowler-In a little Bar in Tulsa!. We were as close as you could get to the stage without being on it!. You could tell he was having a great time, he enjoyed himself!. We got autographs after, he's a SUPER nice guy, the band was really nice to!.!.!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
