Something like the legendary Bill Ward would do, listen to the guys jazz fills!. It amazes me how underrated he is, especially compared to John Bonham or Dave Grohl etc!.

Gavin Harrison!. He plays Drums with Porcupine Tree and more recently King Crimson!. He belongs more in the Progressive Rock genre but uses double bass and Porucpine Tree sometimes use Metal-Esque riffs and beats in their songs!.
