Question: What would it take to bring back Country music!?
Johnny Cash is dead, (RIP buddy!), Waylon is dead (RIP also!), Merle Haggard is fighting cancer, and Willie Nelson is getting older and hopefully will live forever, but!.!.!.
Who is going to take on country music!? Will it be a lost genre like traditional easy listening (Frank Sinatra for example)!? People can tell me country will be taken on by singers like "Taylor Swift" but she isn't country at all!. Country should be what it was founded on, not what people want it to be!.
Will traditional country die!? Or are there artists we don't know about that are keeping it alive!?

I hate to say this, but the ONLY thing that will bring back country music is MONEY -- as in album sales!. As long as the garbage they're packaging sells, they'll keep packaging it and selling it!.
Now, the funny thing is that the soundtrack to "O Brother, Where Art Thou" proved beyond any doubt that there is a very hungry audience out there for traditional country music!. That soundtrack sold EIGHT MILLION COPIES!. But you know what!? People in Nashvegas dismissed that as a "fluke" and didn't even CONSIDER pursuing that avenue!.
Meanwhile, imports of classic country artists (namely, Bear Family Records out of Germany) keep raking in the profits because they will do what the U!.S!. record labels will not: give us COUNTRY music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

There are some artists out there today that will keep it alive for awhile, like Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, and Ashton Shepherd!. However, these artists don't get half of the attention that pop singers like Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood get!. Unfortunately, traditional country may be lost forever soon because of this!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I LOVE country music and too me it is still alive!. Have you seen the CMA Awards!? Its the country music awards with Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, and many more country artists!. It may not be the DEEP southern country but it definitely has a country taste!. If you check out more CMA award singers I can bet you a million that you will definitely find a DEEP country singer!. While I loved outlaw country as much as anybody, the genre has to stay fresh and relevant to people for them to keep it going as a business!. Artists of all types are out there, performing!. What I think you are seeing is that Big Radio is limiting the play lists and not letting new talent shine!. Stop listening to Big Radio and they will open it up again!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hopefully it will be taken by Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan!. Theyre about the best in the business right now that are actually being played!. Taylor Swift will not be the one to save country music!. She is just another pretty face Nashville hired to make money for them!. Nashville sold itself out!. They don't care about traditional country music because they're more into who they can put on a magazine and sell!. Eventually Taylor Swift's looks will fade and her teenage fans will outgrow her lyrics!. Her fans won't relate to her music forever!. They will grow up and not care about who liked who in the 6th grade, which is what Taylor Swift mostly writes about!. True that country music should be what it was founded on, but Nashville only sees dollar signs and the money that rolls in is based on what the fans like, not what country was all about in the past!. Alan Jackson,Randy Travis , George Strait , Reba do have the traditional sounds!.But not enough to keep traditional country in the fore front!.
Taylor Swift,Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts , Darius Rucker are progressive-alternative - pop country!.They all sound good but their music is not the traditional sounds!.
Any of these people could sing the traditional music but they are being lead by the record companies with what they want to hear!.

That's a good question!. I believe people like Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, are country, but a new, more modern kind of country!. It is true, the old kind of country could be lost forever and be taken over by this new make-up-for-it kind, not that it isnt good, its just not traditional!. I dont think anyone knows that, and I think it might be an age thing where these younger people are just not as traditional because that wasnt their time!. They are forming anf new definition for country music!. The only person I can think of is George Strait, whom even he himslef is becoming kind of modern!.
