When you answer the phone and the caller asks for you, is it proper to say "this is she" or "this is her"?
For example,
caller- May I speak with Sarah Jones?
You say ... what?
Answers:
grammatically, "this is she" is proper usage. however, i usually just say "speaking", or "what do you want?"
