Ever used Feng Shui in your home environment, and if so, did it make a difference?

I've been playing with the idea for a while now......even had a friend send me a book called, "Feng Shui On A Budget" or something like that.....but haven't gotten around to actually putting it into practice.

If you've used it, can you offer some advice or insight?

When I was an elementary art teacher, I ran across some difficulty in having all my students listen.I taught roughly 850 students a week in my art classroom and discipline, focus and even cooperation were all difficult so I searched for ways to use my classroom’s environment as a away to calm the students down and to nourish creativity and learning. Feng Shui was the answer. I had the typical art room, bright walls with primary colors, alot of art supplies cluttering the room, desks in groups where they face each other instead of me. I did alot of research and took some training. I painted the room myself, decluttered, found out where the good energy was and opened that window everyday. I changed the group seating to a soft curve where all there energy was focused on me. Kind of like Oprah's stage. I found out there was a conflict star that causes fighting and I treated that with fire and metal. So the environment changed so much that the classroom teachers would often stay after dropping off their class and read or write their lesson plans on a leather couch that I brought in. They would make comments about my classroom being more soothing than their the teacher’s lounge or their own classrooms. So in answer to your question it made a huge difference so much that I was voted teacher of the year in my county. The kids also voted art as their favorite special year after year until I retired.
