Why do some people think I'm smart and the people who know me better think I'm an idiot?
Do you have this problem?

Yeah, actually I do have this problem....most people I meet seem to think I'm smart (I'm reserving judgement here)
But yes, my closest friends do call me an idiot alarmingly often...but I doubt they mean it half the time..
I'm sure you're a smart person....but if you can't act like an idiot among friends...well you have a problem there - don't take it seriously...I'm sure they think your smart but they're probably trying to make sure you don't get too much of an ego...!
