Do you like cats?

For a long time I was a dog person, but cats must have known I had potential and kept showing up, smiling, purring
and rubbing against my leg. I used to sigh and look down
at them and think.....what do they want anyway. I just wasn't
on their wave length. Then, one evening, I was out on my
porch crying over some guy I can't even remember now, and
a perfect stranger-cat came out of nowhere, crawled in my
lap and started to lick my face. I never realized how
sensitive and caring they were. I started taking care of
her and she of me until the day she died and I had to go
to bed for a week with Jose Gold. They get me sooooooo
perfectly and I them and I finally figured out that they're
just like me and maybe I didn't want to see my edginess
reflected so distinctly. Now of course, they've taken over
to the point that I just work for them 24-7. Happy to do it.
