Have you ever had to euthanize one of your pets?!

Have you ever had to euthanize one of your pets?

If so, how long did you wait till you got another pet?
I had to put my ferret down in January, had her for 7 1/2 years. I want more of them, but I am afraid if I get another one that I will end up having to put that one down too. Which I don't ever want to have to do again. It ripped my heart out.

oh, i know its awful, my ferrett just died, and that ripped me to pieces, i have had to put down my cat,, he was 18 yrs old, my beagle dog, he was so bad he just laid in one spot and peed, he couldnt even get up. and my weiner dog, he wasnt that old, about 5 but he had kidney failer due to arthritis. all of them were the hardest thing i ever had to do!!! it broke my heart, i stayed with all of them when it happened, so they wouldnt be alone. i think of this often, and at times i still cry about it!!
i know its so very hard, but it will get better, but youll never foerget them.my heart really goes out to u, and im sorry. it helps to get another pet as soon as u can, takes your mind off your loss a little bit.
