Is it more difficult to make new friends in one's late 20's to 30's?!

Is it more difficult to make new friends in one's late 20's to 30's?
I've noticed in the 25-40 age bracket, many people are starting families and have less time to cultivate new friendships. Most of my closer friends are those I met when I was early to mid 20's.

It can be if you end up single like me at 35. Most of my friends have relationships, houses and kids. I have my house but since becoming single struggle for people to go out with say on saturdays. Problem is, if one of my buddies is allowed out it's for a quite night at the pub and no looking at women. The other problem is making new buddies of people my age can be difficult because were in short supply.
