I think that when they are older they can think for themselves and can be independent and change the things that are bad yes, 100% yes at some point you have to take responsibility for your own life and become your own individual YES!!!!!! yes - at the age of 18, when they start making their own decisions! Yes, yes, when you have children and notice that they are blaming you. =) yes, when they realize it's ′time to get over their parents and go on living. yes, when YOU screw up NOT THEM. No my therapist said I could blame them for everything. Hell yes! You have to grow up, get over it and move on! absolutely I would like to think that but my sister is 38 & she still blames my mother for everything. yes....we become adults and need to take responsibility for our actions. yep never if the parents did all the bad things well my therapist says... depends on how bad their parent screwed up Yes. About age 9. Yes, because its not always your parents faults...they kinda made u...basically.. Yes when both parents are gone - then there will be no one else to blame - speaking from experience. Definitely. At some point, we all have to take responsibility for our own lives. Bad things happen to everyone, its up to us to change them or the cycle continues. Learn from it and become better people than they are. Sure do. All the criminals and child abusers say they were in a dysfunctional home. who wasn't. we all have problems. only we can rise above. easy to pass blame!! You can blame your parents all day long but if you don't choose to grow from it then its your own fault. You are responsible for your own destiny...duh! Most definitely. I think some people use this excuse as a crutch throughout their entire lives, thus preventing them from accomplishing anything. Yes, absolutely. Can't use your parents as a crutch all of your life. When you become an adult, you have to take responisbility for your own faults and if your parents screwed you up, it's your responsibility to seek therapy. yes when they are adults and they make mistakes and not live with their parents Yes. We all go through this I think. Although some people will blame others for everything and never take responsibility. Even into later life. yep, when you're old enough you should take responsibility for your actions and be independent. Absolutely. There comes a time when every one must hold themselves accountable for their own decisions, own actions, own results.
