Who can sing better than Michael Jackson?!

Question:

Who can sing better than Michael Jackson?

Seriously, only Sir. Elton John comes close, but he's not on Michael's level exactly. Answer the question truthfully, swollow your pride and put your negative oppinions asside. It's almost a fact that nobody can sing better than Michael. His voice is so smooth and magical. No Homo!, but this n!gga;s voice is powerful. I'm keeping it as real as I can, I'm black and I live in the ghetto of west philadelphia and I still think Elton John and Paul Mcartney are good so let's be real. Who can touch Michael's skill? He's a geniouse.

Answers: Uhh... Michael Jackson... Genius. Wow, you really have limited exposure to the world of music... Michael Jackson is like Step 1 on a ladder that reaches to the heavens... He is so completely over-rated it is not even funny. I suppose you're still listening to Thriller... It sounds like your radio is stuck on AM either that or the Best of Mtv In The '80s or something... If I was going to name genius, it would be someone like Ian Curtis from Joy Division on his cuts from Closer... Or Coil's Love Secret Domain recording... Or Future Sound of London's ISDN recording... Or Dead Can Dance's Into The Labyrinth recording... Or Ely Guerra's Lotofire recoring... Lauryn Hill! Anything for the matter but Michael Jackson... Anybody Can Sing Better Then Him Sammy Davis Jr. its not really his singing, it's his stage presence... I can. just about anyone with vocal cords. Go Micheal! His voice is tops... Kevin Federline. mmph! Pffffttt!!! AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...
Wooooo!!!! That was funny. No offense, I don't care for MJ. I was about to answer that at least half of all the people could sing better than him, until I noticed you were serious, so never mind. Anybody now. Rihanna Darth Vader Elton John sings better and George Micheal sings much better, well there are a lot of people much better than Michael Jackson .....

And Elvis is still best, even though he passed away . Jackson's vocal technique is all flash and very little substance. Note how he can't sustain a long note that's sung loudly -- he can only sustain softer notes. I think he's a very shallow breather; in other words, he doesn't draw large amounts of air into his lungs. Look at the songs where his singing consists of very short staccato bursts. Sorry, but I consider him only an "entertainer," not a true "singer" in terms of vocal technique and variety of sound produced.

I like Elton John far better, but my biggest beef with him is that his diction is often atrocious to the point of not understanding what the lyrics are.

But for the answer of who the best singer is, I have to base my answer on their vocal technique -- in other words, who literally and physically sings with the strongest and most secure voice. I could name hundreds of artists in the classical and opera world [people who can fill a 2,500 seat theatre without using a microphone], but I'll keep this closer to the pop world.

For my money, it doesn't get any better than Audra McDonald. She has the most expressive voice I've ever heard, and every vocal effect she employs is solid and sounds perfect. And her artistry and taste are unparalleled -- for God's sake, she won four Tony Awards for her Broadway work before she was 35! She has fire, precision, humor, passion, earthiness, and an unwavering flair for perfection. Check out her debut CD: http://www.amazon.com/way-back-paradise-... I can. I sound like Amy Lee from Evanescence. No one can sing better than Michael Jackson, he's the best!

??We Love You Michael!!!!??
