I listen to REM and Garbage. Both can be pretty depresing Yeah I do.Like the Cure, or Smashing Pumpkins. no it just makes me more sad!! i do I do, too. You're not alone. I know a lot of people who do that. I think it's consoling to us in some odd way. I do the opposite to cheer up or just cry I do alot nope but depressing music makes me sad.

especially the 2nd one;it's awesome!! Not me. I can't listen to music at all when I'm sad. Can't watch TV either. All I can do is come here to P&S and pass time. Sometimes I do. When I'm sad, I feel like I'm in a rut. I think we do it just as a reflection of how we're feeling but I do try to listen to more uplifting music. for me it's kind of comforting, yeah it's depressing but deep inside you kind of feel relief about it.

yeah i listen to sad music, but sometimes i just do it coz i feel like having a cry. if its going to come out id rather it not come out in public.. so listen to your depressing music if you need to and then once you have had your cry put your mullet songs on..

You should listen to some Baja Men, they always make me laugh.... Yeah its great when your depressed! funny that? No way.
It just makes matters worse. Gee, I didn't know that there are sad music around. I only know if I like or I hate a music.
And here is another thing to do to experience a more enriching level when you listen to uplifting ( or sad) song...see a video of it , if possible as two senses( see and hear) are now used instead of one ( hear).
