When was the first time you ever thought for sure you were about to die?!

Question:

When was the first time you ever thought for sure you were about to die?

How old were you? I was 8 and it was during a ride in the Materhorn at Disneyland, lol (next one is not so funny)

Answers: When I was 10 and vomited for the first time since I was a baby. I thaught I was exploding, it freaked me out. lol. i was like 6 when a mad dog came chasing me...thanks mom for picking me up! I know that one day I'll die, ever since I remember myself.
What I don't know is when... I was 16 and I was riding in my friend's truck on Christmas Eve and he wasn't paying attention and rolled his truck with me in it. We almost rolled off a steep embankment i was in a car accident when i was 12, we rolled the car, i remember the first roll than i woke up on the ground thinking the car was going to roll over top of me... it was pretty terrifying. When I was about 6. I was a stupid little kid who thought she could go to the deep end of the pool (didn't know how to swim). I was holding on to the side of the pool. I let go, and sunk. Luckily my dad came a plucked me out of the water. many times im surprised i made it to 44 When I got choked on a piece of hard candy in the mall when I was 6!! My mom had to do the Heimlich on me. My cousin gave it to me despite what my mom said!! I almost died!!:) well, mine is similar too....About 7 when i went on a ride and it was the first time I experienced the G foce...omg!but thinking about that now makes me laugh....lol. I went on this really big show ride that flips upside down and its like 150 feet high in the air. When it was flipping upside it stayed up sidedown 150 feet down for like 5 minutes and i was like omg im gonna die and it was scary as hell ! when i was 10...i got hit by a car....luckily i survived.... When I was 2 years old and lapsed into a coma from meningitis. My parents were told to get a priest to read me my last rights. About two years ago, l had been ill for a few weeks when l got this severe pain, that put me into shock. l had a blockage in the bile duct, spent a week in hospital. I was about 3 years old (and surprisingly I remember this). Icouldn't swim and I slipped off of a floatie I was trying to get into. I just remember being so scared and struggling to get out, but then I opened my eyes and just stopped. I'm not exactly sure what I was thinking, but I seemed sure it was all over. Funny how a kid can think like that, isn't it? the first time was when i was about seven, i was chasing birds in the playground after school and this girl
(who i'm pretty sure has some serious issues)
came up from behind me, kicked me in the back of the legs, pinned me to the dirt and started shaking then trying to choke me on the ground. I was seriously thinking 'this is it' and she was screaming at me and crying and yeah... luckily i managed to twist around and kinda kick her with the back of my shoes and threw her off me. then ran ran ran! pretty scary. I also had some pretty impressive bruises. unlucky

the second was probably when i was about 15 and my brother picked up a carving knife and started chasing me with it and trying to stab me. I was pretty scared, trying to pick up chairs to protect myself and stuff. I never had the 'life flash before me eyes thing though' i suppose that's when your 'actually' dieing? I was about 6 when my grandfather passed away. It was the first time I had to deal with death. At age 13 I was bitten by a Egiptian cobra while I was walking by a waterfall. In hospital later that day I realised that I am human and can die. Now I breed snakes and reptiles. when i was 5. used to have nightmares during naptimes about a huge boulder rolling down a hillside towards me and i always woke up feeling like my chest was crushed. I was 17 with my school buddies. It was December 1998 and we were all clowning around on top of cliff at some coastal town I can't remember where exactly. Anyway we were all running around the edge of the cliff and I was in front of every one else when part of the cliff started to give way and collapse. I somehow managed to stagger backwards enough not to fall down the cliff and hit the jagged rocks below. At this point my heart was beating so fast I thought it was going to have a heart attack. I also clearly remember all my classmates crashing into me and nearly falling over the cliff themselves. So that would have to be the first real time I thought I was going to die. I haven't been near the edge of any high cliffs since.
