My dad showed me one time. He grabbed one and the scream it let out reminded me of a dying cat. It was soooooo pathetic I almost cried. BTW, he never hurt it or anything but but was so scared :(......
Answers: yes, it's very cruel and inhumane Yes that's awful. You don't think cows or pigs or chickens are scared before they are processed into the food we eat? Most of the time "giggin'" frogs is for the legs to eat, or bait to catch something else to eat. Unless you go vegan there really is no grey area for opinion on this being cruel or not compared to the plight of the bovine.
I eat them all, so as long as it's not a malicious act being done to them, but a purposeful act of supplying a food I do not think it's cruel.
