I really want to write a poem....?!

Question:

I really want to write a poem....?

....but I'm not sure about a topic.
It can be serious or funny.
Got any ideas?

Answers: I'd like to read a poem about your refuge in times of sadness, loneliness, trouble or stress, etc., your refuge being a place, a person or something inside yourself ... or whatever it is to you.

Sorry to be so serious, but you DID ask. Life is usually a bit of both good luck with it constipation your avatar How about a the poem of "The Walk By Cornbreading" doesnt matter what the topic is just put a lot of "whilst" and "thous", the gullible chicks really dig it. How's that for random! lol S.E.X. Toe jam on whole wheat toast.? how about a sausage and a wooden spoon...=-p buk, i think you could eloquently depict a vomit session in poetry. I am your man, Buk.
You start it, I'll finish it.
Or, I'll start it, and you can finish it.

I was born at an early age,
I opened my eye, I was on a stage.
I cried a bit, I wailed a tune,
the echo alone nearly moved the Moon!
I was all alone...where is my Maw?
I had to cry...I had to bawl!
So here I sit, naked and such-
One little buk, will I amount to much?

Hope you like it, and like that first answerer said, life is a bit of both.
Dave as the season of all hallows eve is approaching, and you have a few potentially 'appropriate' wicked looking avatars for friends...just a thought all the women you never dated. Autumn...the weather is beginning to change here... I would like a poem about Halloween, trick or treat, ghosts, pumkin patches, autumn festivals, are you seeing my theme? the down side of waking up your wife beating out a tune on your belly with a wooden spoon. You can write of a past experience.....
here is one of mine I wrote, it's my favorite!

THE DREAM

I once had a dream, when my world fell apart...
I would never fall prey to an open heart!
One heart, one house with children to raise,
makes it much harder to show them the ways.
Once you're there, you've been there before...
makes it much harder to open the door.
I've loved, I've lost, will I ever see....
what true meaning love could ever be?
I now have a dream, and I truly believe...
for that love I once lost I will someday retrieve!
To strengthen your heart, and understand love...
takes faith in yourself and the good Lord above!
