Are "puppy dogs" afraid of "6 and 7year old " children?!

Question:

Are "puppy dogs" afraid of "6 and 7year old " children?

Scene in my elevator. Two little puppies, are climbing up the knees of my kids. The 40 year old woman almost yells: "Don't pad them since they are scared of children!!" She acted like a "lunatic" and my kids got scared although the puppies, still wanted to play with them. I just gave her the "looks", you know, those "that kill"??
My son asked: "Mom, do I look like a monster"?? Me: "No honey, just another crazy person who didn't take her medicine!" Do you think I did the right thing or should I have said something to this "weirdo"????

Answers: puppies are only scared of little children if the children are rough with them or hurt them,it sounds like your puppies love your children and aer'nt scared of them, therefore you have no worries, don't worry about the lady in the elevator, obviously she has her own problems that have nothing to do with you,let it be,if you were to say anything you could've just said something like "do not speak that way to my children, you're frightening them",any big blow ups would've only scared your kids anyway,so you did the right thing for your kid's sake. Umm she's psycho. no don't have any regrets about it, i think you did the right thing Always ask if you can touch something that belongs to someone else, even if they do like coming to you first... don't touch without permission. Something like that is hard to explain to a child who just wants to be friendly.. but then again the dogs could have bit them and it wouldn't have been the fault of the crazy lady!!! when my dog was a puppy, you would have to knock her out cold and drag her off if you wanted to get her away from little children. infact even adult dogs prefer playing with children. i don't know what the lady's problem was, but if she is living all alone, maybe she's just grown very selfish and possessive about her dogs. then again, maybe there might have ben some bad kids who'd hurt the pups (or some previous pups of hers). you know, some children do that, throwing stones at innnocent animals, pulling their tails etc. this might have led to a lot of trouble and the old lady may just want to avoid another scene or just didn't want anything bad happening to her pups again. i think she was generally against little kids, and didn't really have anything in particular against ur own.

you did the right thing by not picking a fight with the lady, coz after all, she is their owner and she does get to call the shots, at least until the pups are old enough to decide whom they play with and nip her when she tries to stop them!!!!!!!!!
