Question:

Do little words like PLEASE and THANK YOU still go a long way?

Answers: I think so! You just don't hear them so much anymore! Nothing is cuter than hearing that out of a child's mouth! ofcourse Yes. I always notice. in my book YES...manners cost nothing I think that they do yes-they do.. They do when my 2 year old granddaughter uses them. They certainly do in my reaction to people, thanks for asking! I definitely think so. Maybe even farther now since so few people use them. Yes I think that being polite is very important but sadly this world has forgotten about these little words that mean so much!!!!!!! I think so; I still use them. definitely Yes they do, and always will. Yes, saying please and thank you goes a long way. I noticed that when you're polite, people don't mind doing extra for you. I think it helps a lot! ABSOLUTELY !!
It's to the polite people - a thumbs up all the way !!! people these days don't have manners, well alot of them don't, i know some people who still use them though Yes, especially at job interviews, hotel work, and sales..Makes a good impression on 1st dates also! :) YES! because no one says them anymore, so when you hear them its 10 times politer Yes they sure do. yes, it makes me flattered yeah. mum always told me to always to. depends how u say it. if u look at the person in the eyes and say it nicely with a smile, then look away so u dont end up staring and smiling then thats when they really think wow they must be a nice person. seems their parents raised them right. yes, oh course. i work with children and i notice those who say please and thankyou often, present with positive relationships in all aspects. people like being thanked and being appreciated. in this day, many people think you need to give someone a gift or something in return for things but often a heart felt thank-you is all that is needed. i know i do, and others most likely do too, when someone doesnt say thankyou for something, as simple as giving them a glass of water, i realise it and it doesnt refeclt well on the person, as well it makes me feel as if i have done something wrong.
so always remember to say your please and thank-you, especially for the little things people do like passing the salt It most certainly does!
"Please" is being polite when requesting
"Thank You" is an expression of gratitude Yes. At least at my job. I'm a teacher's assistant at a local school, and all of my teachers always say please when they tell me what they need done, and they always say thank you when I leave. They always let me know that they appreciate me and my work.

Last year, I worked in the Special Ed department, and I loved it except I couldn't stand my supervising teacher. She always had me doing much more than my share to the point, several students left that classroom thinking I was the teacher. I did my job and her's. Not once did she ever say please - she only threw books and papers on my desk (even if I was already working on something, she'd plop it all down on what I was doing) and told me what to do. Not once did she ever say thank you. I got a very heartwarming card from the other special ed teacher I wasn't even an assistant to thanking me for my hard work in the department. From my teacher, I got no card and a stinky candle.

Yes, please and thank you go a VERY long way. hi yes they do I was brought up saying them and i t works for me people being polite Yes, they most certainly do - if only more people would show that common courtesy. it works really well at my work. it seams people are more willing to do things when you are polite with them Absolutely!
The importance of etiquette shouldn't ever be underestimated.
