In most US states, you can work at 14 if you get a work permit thing signed by a school councilor and your parents/guardians.
So you could either look up your local laws on the internet, or ask your school councilor & get the paper while your there if its legal (two birds, one stone)
Then it still all depends on what places want to hire you. You'll probably end up mopping bathrooms, or bagging groceries. You can also probably get a job at a resteraunt, more likely a fast food place, but maybe a cute little diner....
But there are cool jobs you can get at 14. Try applying for some that have something that interests you. Like a comic shop, or record store (there are plenty of options besides those though)
Then theres the 'babysitting, dog walking, lawn mowing' approach, but personaly, I hate it when people suggest those to me (Im 15) I believe they let 14 year olds work in Iraq, as a crossing guard. Not in the mainstream workplace no....
You might be able to work for a restaurant or ice cream shop with a work permit, but I wouldnt count on it.. HIGHTLY doubtful
sorry zaxbys =]] at brusters in ga or chik-fil-la The christians can let you work for them for free. markets and sometime restaurants/cafes. I was 14 when I started working at a restaurant. I had to have a work permit though. It all depends on what state you live in and if you just turned 14 or are closer to 15. at any grocery store. They might ask for a permit to work, but that's ok.
