Answers: Blue, with a white banana seat, white wall tires and easy rider bars.... LOVED IT. 9 - 11 years old, lived in a rural area and took it up the dirt road into the fields, and down all the byways, used to pass this one house where a black viscious mutt would chase me growling and snapping at my heels and the adrenaline rush was cool.
kids these days sit around, they're really missing out on a lot. And you wonder why we're all getting weaker and weaker, needing more and more pills to stay healthy, allergic to everything in sight. It's not only about food additives, it's getting out there for some fresh air and exercise.
on the lighter side - we were poor [6 kids in an apartment while daddy went to grad school] and I had to "borrow" a bike, my twin brother and I, and we "borrowed" this pair of bikes from someone's back yard, we were 7 years old, the bikes were too big for us, and we were wobbling around [and this is before we moved to the sticks, we were just outside of cambridge, Mass, tough little town] and I turned the corner on the sidewalk and ran down an old fat lady carrying two bags of groceries. She was not hurt, but I remember fruit rolling all over, and we brought the bikes right back. The father was waiting for us on the front porch wearing a wife beater undershirt, and we took one look at him, ditched the bikes on the sidewalk and ran like hell for the park.
So, in sum, yes, I loved anything with wheels, never tire-d of them, I'm not pedaling bull, true spokes-person for the bike, chain't nothing like it. I only went out on it twelve times a year. I really looked forward to my monthly cycle! I got my first bike when I started Secondary School to cycle there on. I used to bike with my best mate Sue who lived in the next street, and we were like a couple of loonies at times, especially trying to be the first one through the cut! Up until then I had a scooter and I ran a lot! I wheelie did.lol Raleigh what a question, I'm crossbar none now. Give us a brake.
