Absolutely. no Yes, because he played it in the comic book way. the original is always the best Yes he was good but my fav Batman movie was Batman Begins. The original is always the best, old chum. No. As much as I liked Michael Keaton, when the moody, troubled Christian Bale came on the scene, the dark hero got that much darker! Yes. The one..the only...the TRUE Batman! There can only be one Batman, & that's Adam West Yep. dadadadadadadadada - Batmaaaan! Adam West was great but Michael Keaton was a revelation too as his career had mainly been in comedy up to that point. The Joker got most of the funny lines in the 1989 film Batman whilst Keaton showed a sensitive, intelligent brooding. The sequel, Batman Returns, was more about the villains than Batman but Keaton remained cool.
Batman Begins has, puzzingly, been dubbed the best Batman film by many. On account of its darkness? The first 2 films had that. On account of its acting? How do you top Nicholson and Keaton? Batman Begins spent the first 30 minutes on martial arts sequences- what was it - a Batman film or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon? There was little sense of the cartoon nature of Batman in Batman Begins- it had no tongue in cheek whatsoever which is a big mistake. You cannot top the set pieces of the first film- it was flawless.
