Answers: It was mind numbing. I thought I had little faith in the jury system, I have even less now.
I hated it. If I could find a way to get out of it. I would. I mean seriously. Why are we taking Doctors out of the hospital, and teachers out of the classroom so they can sit on a case where some boob is trying to sue for something silly. Come on. This is not what our forefathers had in mind. no No, i haven't but it would be interesting... No I haven't I have been barefooted and pregnant everytime it comes around. I am sure I will do it one day or another. I've gotten called up once....but I got out of it cause I went to school out of state. I tried to get out when I was young and get the boot or a check for a last minute plea agreement since then. It was ok because we were all dismissed
I feel it is my civic responsibility
i did get out of jury duty in the past Yes, boring & waste of time. Lawyers' voices so boring..& case ...should have been settled. Got out of it one time, too...luckily. Better things to do than sit around dusty courtrooms & listen to lawyers...& their egos. Judges no better, very superior tone in court..insulting the jurors. I wish I could have the opportunity to serve on a jury. We are probably one of few countries who allow our citizens this right.
I was selected once many years ago but it would have caused severe financial hardships at the time, therefore I was released from my obligations. Should the opportunity arise again, you can bet your guilty verdict I'll do it. I was once called to be part of a large jury pool. Luckily they got their jury before they got to me. It was a murder case and I really didn't want to participate. no. i've never played court when i was little.. and i dont think we have a court system at our school.
