I think I've hit an all time low......I need help....?!

Question:

I think I've hit an all time low......I need help....?

I'm so sad and irritated with everything. Even when someone doesn't do anything wrong, I get upset. I don't even feel like talking to anyone. It seems pointless to even get out of bed anymore. I thought I was sick because I was worn out all the time. Am I emotionally tired? I don't know how much more of this I can take. I'm sorry to dump all my personal problems on everyone, but I just wanted to know what to do to get me feeling normal. I'm always such a happy person, I don't normally get like this. I have my moments (who doesn't?), but this is extreme, I've been feeling like this for almost 3 weeks, what do I do? (minus psychiatric help, please)

Answers: You really sound depressed hon........without going to the doc, you've got to make a plan and stick to it.

Up at a certain time in the morning, then out for a walk or run. Eat breakfast, clean up the kitchen, make your bed, shower and get out of the house. And, do it every day!!!!!! Work is good and being with other people helps too. Don't skip meals and DO eat dark chocolate. It's really good for you, in several ways!!!!

PS: save a life.....get a kitten or pup from the local pound. They give sooooooo much love!!! and ask for so little in return. Good luck!! Smile & then rethink your plan on where you're going & where you want to be..bet you it works
? Good Luck? Maybe talk to your doctor. I take Wellbutrin, which makes me feel better and think clearly. Look it up on the internet. It sounds like your describing a few of my "what's the point to life anymore?" experiences. With me, it's because I have anxiety/depression. For you, it could be that or it could be (I hate to say this because sometimes it feels like a slap in the face) PMS?

I really hope you feel better soon. I would look into the whole anxiety/depression thing though, it really sounds like it. get out and try to love life Try going to your doctor, and ask about depression. There are things to take that will bring back your good nature. Dont delay, cause depression can lead to suicde.LOL Eat healthier, work out and get plenty of sleep. If that doesn't work, confide in a friend or family member to see if you can get a different viewpoint of what is "really" bothering you.

The last resort but a helpful one, is the one you do not want to hear. you must understand that depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. If you had diabetes you would take insulin wouldn't you. Sorry I know that's not what you wanted to hear You sound depressed, that really isn't too uncommon these days. The symptoms you describe fit. You need to get to the doctor and have a good physical. There are some ailments that cause depression. Or it could be the side effect of a medication you are taking. It is possible that some sort of chemical imbalance has occurred and you might need medication to get back on track. They are not addictive, and they are not narcotics. Please just get to the doctor to make sure that there isn't something bad going on with your health. It sounds like you're a little depressed. There's still hope, if there wasn't you wouldn't feel the need to seek advice! I get like that sometimes too. Is there a lot of stress in your life? Maybe it's time for a change. Try something new, like a painting class or joining a league of some kind. I find that I need to keep things exciting in a positive way, or I get bored and depressed. Go shopping! Buy yourself a new pair of sassy shoes! Little things can make you feel like a whole new person. You just have to get up and do it. Oh, you. Don't worry - this will pass. If you don't feel like talking to anyone - so be it. Do things that you like as long as you don't go over board that you end up into trouble. Don't take any drugs - have you taken illegal drugs before? Maybe you should stop and think about your future - what you want to do and how you will become happy. It's all up to you - your choice - yourself, don't be destructive and eat well, sleep well and just be happy with what you have. Smile. You're fine. your problem is you need help but you are unwilling to accept it. freinds don't have the ability to be objective like a counselor, so you should rethink getting some real help. you probably don't know yourself and what you need as well as you think you do, but you won't belive that until you get some real help, from a pro.....face it...you could be happier... Get outside and do something that makes you physically exhausted. The sun will improve your mood and the endorphins created in your brain from the physical activity will lift your spirits. Or you can keep doing what you've been doing hoping for a miracle.

I'm sorry you are depressed. It sucks.

I believe you have to fight your way out of depression. Depression is tired anger. I guess this all depends on what has been happening for you lately. If there has been a string of stressful or upsetting events, this could be very normal, but if it is random and out of the blue, I suggest that you go and see your doctor. This could be depression, and trust me, this is not something you should just leave and hope it goes away. There are a number of things you can do to lift your mood, maybe do some exercise, it increases your endorphins and makes you fell happy. Avoid alcohol, that wont help. Also make sure you are getting enough sleep and surround yourself with your closest people. If you choose not to see a doctor, at least talk to a family member/friend/counsellor about how you are feeling. Sometimes even just talking it out with someone can make you feel a bit better.

I do hope that this passes for you, I am a counsellor and have seen what depression can do if left hidden. You need to make an effort to get out of this. It is a vicious circle.
When you wake, SMILE and stretch and let out a howl or scream or whatever.
Then get out of bed and stretch again in front of a window looking out at the beautiful day.
If you have a yard, go out and look at the sky and let sun rays fall on you for a while. This is very important to health.
Then start your morning chores.
If you have time just go take a walk outside in open.
Smile and say a hi to all you meet.

I am wondering about your diet. Take a banana every morning. Helps many things.
Take care to see you have enough protein and Vitamins in diet. Also some Carbs.

And do get the BP checked too. that can be a cause.
I wish you well. I really think a doctor would be the best person to talk to about this. It doesn't have to be a psychiatrist. Your normal family doctor or physician would be fine to talk to about this.

That said, the thing that often helps me is looking in the Bible. Most people don't like to do that, but real people wrote the Bible and if often deals with a lot of issues and emotions that the authors faced and can be helpful to read. biblegateway.org is a free online Bible if you're interested. Sweet one see your medical doctor for advice! We can be sympathetic but cannot offer you medical advice! In the meantime exercise, eat properly, and think positively! Good luck honey!
