It turns a chore into a pleasure yes ive used one since i was in school if i need a shower. i prefer using the toilet myself but maybe thats just me only when im feeling fancy I like them Yes, I have several. I even have one that belonged to my Mom. It's over 40 years old. I like to use brown ink in that one for some reason. My other ones just have those little cartridges you pop in. Yes, it is the only thing I use to write with. I HATE using a pencil. I hate them they make me dither. I havent used or seen one for years Yeah but the missus hates the way I keep getting my shirt pockets covered ink. No, I prefer good ol' pencils when i started high school...my aunt bough me some beautiful fountain pens but after a while i had to use biro because the ink used to get everywhere.,....i do like fountain pens... Yep - they don't generally use them in schools any more, which is a shame because you have to form your letters correctly with an ink pen, instead of being able to produce a scribble that passes for handwriting. Yes. I like to write birthday and Christmas cards in fountain pen. I have about 8 - mainly Parker pens. My favourite is a Parker Pen which belonged to my Grandfather - I think it dates back to about the 1920s.
When I was at School I had a beautiful tortoiseshell Waterman fountain pen which my dad bought me when I was about 10 or 11 years old but someone nicked it! I was really upset. When I started to learn shorthand I used a special nibbed fountain pen but have since lost that (mind you, I can't do shorthand now, either)
I love looking at pens and have dropped plenty of hints to hubby that I would love a Mont Blanc. Definitely - a letter written with a fountain pen, looks much neater than one written with a biro .. !!.. xx yes A good one yes, not the cheap crap you buy from WH Smiths that bleed ink everwhere, a good pen is like a woman! No, being left handed I find it makes my writing even more of a mess than it usually looks. No, I usually smear ink everywhere. I loved using a fountain pen, I have not used one for many years as I have yet to find one with a spell checker. i only make the odd mistake when writing but when I do it's usually with the same words. i think I have a blank about them, Case in point is the word Absolutely. Yes the spell checker changed it again.
