Answers: My family particapates in the Walk for the Gold 3 mile walk for the Special Olympics. We can do it as a family and we don't have to kill ourselves trying to win. Everyones' a winner no matter who finishes first. All the money raised goes to support our local chapter of the Special Olympics. This is out second year walking. yes, a comany oriented race. I should have trained harder, althoug I still finished it. I won 1st place in a cross country race in the 6th grade. does track count? hmm......... I did the Palace Saloon 5k in Tallahassee last year, it was a lot of fun! Takes some time to get in shape but it worth it when you finish, no matter what your time was. I have been in several 10k's and 5k's, but never a marathon. yes i have diabetties race.. i luved it plus the awasome tee-shirts we got was an added bonus.. Yes, I have. In the year 2000, I ran and finished the Marine Corps Marathon here in Washington, DC. I have also run many 5ks, 10ks and 10 milers. Not so many of late. Yeah I have been running races ever since I was six. Right now I am training for a marathon and I am going to run a half-marathon next week. Also I run track and cross country. I've done countless 5Ks and a handful of 10Ks. I love the competition of seeing who can push their body beyond its limit.
There's a quote that sums the feeling up perfectly:

Gotta love Martine Costello :] I do the juvenile walk for diabetes some years, but I suppose that's not an actual race. Did one two mile race when I was a kid. Realized I wasn't a superhero, or... do superheros get stitches in their side?
