Am I wrong to laugh...is it homophobic?!

Question:

Am I wrong to laugh...is it homophobic?

As anyone who has read my profile will know I am a fanny dodger.. a gay man..a ring pirate who drops anchor in poo bay!
I was told a joke yesterday as follows and laughed my head off...a fellow homo next to me said it was offensive and out of order...who was right???

a gay man walks into the butchers and says "i'll have that salami hanging up in the window please" butchers gets it down and start to slice it up thinly..the gay man scream "oye stop...what do you think my bum is a bloody money box"?....
so was i wrong to laugh?

Answers: it just shows your comfortable with yourself. it was amusing! the other guy clearly has a problem with anything related to sexuality. of course some people look for offense in everything. you was only wrong to laugh if you didnt find it funny! its a crime to laugh at unfunny jokes, the fello bloke needs to lighten up. ha! no that is funny. lmao no Lol that is so funny, I'll remember to tell that to my lovely nephew who drop anchor in poo bay himself. No, but that's a pretty scary mental image. no i think it was funny Yes you were very wrong to laugh, it was a waste of a good salami, you could have bought a cheap one from a supermarket to stick up ya sh*t locker, having said that it probably wouldn't have been as spicy HA HA!! exelent. NA)))))))) the PC brigade are a sad bunch of gits. if its funny then laugh. screw PC. That's funny, I dont think you are wrong to laugh after all blondes laugh at blonde jokes (if they get them,) and I laugh at intelligent attractive women jokes!!! Funny is funny, some people are just too sensitive!! too many pc's that was funny so you laughed
some people ought to just lighten up a bit H appy

L well if he's gay then why should he be offended...it was only a joke...

and no you weren't wrong to laugh...coz i just laughed at that joke and i don't find it offensive...maybe this guy does not have a sense of humour... everybody has a different sense of humour i didn't find this joke bad or even funny in fact i had to read it twice to spot the gag and then i thought wow that's a piss poor joke. its only offence cos its so unfunny. its an insult to comedy.

2 gay Scottish guys ones called Benn doon the others called Phil mccavity
i love weak pun me but humour it subjective. if you don't like it don't get all pissy just move on life is too short to freak out on nonsense like a joke you were right,,it is very funny,and i'm NOT homophobic,at the end of the day,we heterosexuals are allowed to make fun about sex and sex toys etc, so why cant jokes be made about gays? Not at all - I thought it was funny!

You might like this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-lhp5o2wcx... The saying originates as;

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and Joy is in the ears that hear. (apologies to the deaf, guess it should be amended to joy is in the eyes that read the signs as well)

Anyway, A Joke is not meant to offend. It is a way of poking fun at the real world to relieve some of the tension.
If you found it funny then it shows you have enough of a sense of humour that you can laugh at anything even if it offends people with the same orientation.

I prefer the one that goes;

A Gay man and his boyfriend were in an accident. 1 man survived but the other was killed and was scheduled for burial. The survivor asked for the remains to be cremated.
The undertaker asked if he would place the Urn on the mantelpiece as a sign of love.
The Gay man replied "Actually, I'm going to pour the ashes into the hottest curry I can make."
He stifled a sob as he said, " then I can feel him dribble out of my hot @rse, 1 last time"

My apologies if this does offend, it is not meant to.
I was told this by my cousin at his civil wedding to his boyfriend. Most of us that heard it, cracked up and I actually feel proud that my cousin is so comfortable with himself and with us, that he felt he could tell this and we'd laugh.

:~} there are some jokes that are just plain sick and should never be muttered.
then there are some jokes that are just plain funny, and that was funny, i laughed but i don't get why someone wouldn't. Absolutely NOT!

Anyone who can't laugh at themselves deserves to be laughed AT. No, it's just some people have NO sense of humour!
