Do you ever feel like you're the last person on earth who doesn't give a flip about sports?
I have lost so many friends and family members to this crippling addiction but for the life of me, I just can not get interested. I'm all about playing a game of dodgeball or baseball but just to sit around and watch other people play? That, I don't get.
Answers: Your going to get a star from me. I love to ski, swim, I ride horse back and played soccer in college. I can not get interested in watching other people play anything.
Vicarious sports is like vicarious sex. The addition is stupid because it is all in your mind. Your might think you are doing something but your really are doing nothing. Tell them to try vicarious eating.....or vicarious working.... the problem is there is no one who takes virtual money... i dont mind them if i am actually there, but i dont like watching them on tv Sorry, I love to watch football. Live or on TV, either way it's my favorite. I dont watch what I wont play. Just not enough brain juice in watching all that commercial crap for just a few minutes of impact.
Not for me. I'm the same way. I will watch ice skating though. Yea I can't watch it either. What gets me though is to watch golf & fishing...how boring! yeah.....i cant watch either it's boring if you ain't part of the action........"PUT ME IN COACH!!!!" Don't let it worry ya, hoss...there's lots of little sissies in Atlanta, too. I don't either but I have family and friends that aren't sports fanatics. oh dingles ... uve cpatured my heart. my fiance is OBSESSED with every freakin sports stat known to man. hes a golfer. he works where tiger woods lives and is about to graduate GOLF COLLEGE (yes it exists) .... and until he graduates i live with three guys just like him!!!!! my home is a freakin sports shrine .... and i cant go to sleep without hearing hoops and hollars for whatever sport may be on ... even GOLF. who hoops for golf? these guys do! Really, you, me & Melanie are it. I wish there were a secret hiding place we could go until football season is over. I hate it when I actually want to watch something on tv and some stupid sports game is on instead. You are bad off though. All of your 52 roommates are sports people and you don't have your own room. I guess we can drive around in the car and listen to music. Thanks for depressing me with your question. nope, never felt that way. It could be due to the fact that i like sports though. I'm with you! I hate football most off all - reminds me of my big, fat, bald, rotten, no account, liver bellied ex boyfriend. I've been around it all my life. Played and watched. It was something I did with my dad on the weekends when I was with him. Because of him I don't just watch, I engage. I completely understand THAT! one year the stupid superbowl was on my birthday, and I was ignored the whole day.B astards. siiigh, I confess to have fallen into that same addiction. I used to be like you, but I fell into the darkness and have not yet been able to crawl back into the light
