If you had a small child and the class bully hit him....?
would you be mad if they sent a note home saying that your kid told the bully to "F--- Off"?
Answers: On the contrary, I'd take my kid out for an ice cream and say "good job, but next time just punch the bully as hard as you can right in the nose." No way. That bully would have deserved it. I would tell my kid that that is a bad word, and to not use it, but that bully had it coming! Who started it the bully or the kid??? If my kid said that I'd wonder where he heard that, then once I found out how he learned that word; I would wash out the mouth of the person who told him that word. Then I would make him ask the bully for forgiveness for swearing at him; then I would make my kid write " I will not say bad words ever." 200 times. If that didn't work and he said more bad words, I would double the punishment and put Tabasco in his mouth for swearing.
Dutch- I agree too, normally the parent of the bully wouldn't believe you anyway. I have been witness to that so many times. It's a hard call though especially if you know the Bully would get his butt beat for beating a kid up. I know none of us will be right with this, it has to be dealt with accordingly. I wouldn't be mad. I would talk to my child and tell him to stand up to the bully without using bad words.
I hope the bully would be punished by the school!! I would definitely NOT have been happy about that language. BUT, at the same time I would be finding out what they did to the kid that hit my son. If he would have belted him back I think I would take him out for ice cream.

Beanhead 1972--I totally agree about wondering where a small child heard that kind of language, I thought the same thing, but I also think a mom has to stand up for her kid that just got hit by the class bully. No, I would be mad that that's all he did in, he should have hit him back, he can't hurt him with words.
To Dutch and bonehead- kids are going to learn those words sooner or later, if not from their parents (which is usually the case) than from other kids in school. And to be honest, I don't see what the big deal is. I'm glad I'm not one of Beanhead's kids!
He was sticking up for himself and there isn't anything wrong with that. Yes he is too young to be talking like that but you can't expect him never to swear it's such a normal part of the society's vocabulary now. If that is all he did wrong then no I would not be mad at all. No, I'd be happy my kid stood up to the bully. Who cares about his language? Most kids would shrink away from the bully since schools have this lame zero tolerance policy. The bully and the victim both get into trouble. Real effective. this just happened the other day...i went to pick up my 2 sons one is 12 the other 11, there friend came running up to the car and said this boy, i wont say his name but he has bullied my kids from elem school, anyway he said that boy kicked my son in the leg that was already hurt he cant walk straight because he was hurt in football and that was about 3 months ago and he still cant walk so when he said he hit my son me and my husband flew out of the car, we went and found the vice principal, and it just so happened the boys mother and the boy were right there because the boy was getting in trouble for something else he had done, i went up to all them i said im tierd of him hitting my son i told them its gonna stop, i said i will take them to the school board if thats what it takes, i said my son dosent deseve to be hit by that trash, i was so mad if his mom had opened her mouth at that moment i would have slapped her, i know it would be wrong but im tired of it, his mom puts him up to bulling other kids there really trashy people, the mom has kids from all diffrent guys shes slept with alot of guys from our town, everyone knows this, they live in the projects, so anyway the principal took me in the office and said he knew how they was, and i didnt have to tell him anything he said he sees it everyday hes allways in something and he would stop it, so anyway the boy started again today, my sons best friend thats a pretty good size boy grabbed him up and give him what he deserves for bulling, and both my sons got him to, i told them if he dont stop i dont care if you do get introuble ill take care of it in the office, i told them to take there part and beat the hell out of him. then maby that will stop it.
