Answers: People smoke to self medicate.
It is cheaper than Prozac and the doctors appointment.
Alot of addicts (pot is addictive) have undiagnosed and untreated mental disorders, usually depression.
The pot acts to stifle the 'insanity' that they feel, so they use it to escape, forget and just blur their sense of dis ease. mostly peer pressure, I think. It has never done anything for me except make me very sick ! I don't smoke. I am a nice guy Makes you real high, dude =) my partner says it calms him n relieves him of stress, iv tried it once n things that would normally get on my nerves have just gon straight over my head boredom,social, tastes good. Because its coooooll mannnnnn.......the chicks dig it, dude.....and its so cheap.... Because it feels good...... why do you think? Seems to be human nature to crave mood altering substances. Not any different than getting drunk to me, just a different effect. it makes me able to handle the day and deal with all the stupid people i know i'm going to have to deal with to get that relaxed feeling???would that make sense??? aha! why they smoke pot? because they are STUPID NO BRAIN...... NO LOVE FOR THERE PARENTS WHO SACRIFICE FOR THEM TO SEND THEM TO SCHOOL. THEY ARE PAIN IN THE ***... ARE YOU ONE OF THEM CHANGE NOW.... Many people like to smoke Pot to just get high. Other people smoke pot to use for medicinal purposes such as chronic pain. They get a doctor's letter approving their medical condition so they can go down to the dispensary store in town and legally purchase Marijuana. Calif. state laws approved this method for the very sick and dying and other painful conditions not remedied by prescription drugs. The Federal government fails to recognize that the state laws are legal for the selling of medicinal Marijuana in Calif. and the Feds continue to arrest and shut down dispensaries all throughout Calif. I smoked Pot years ago and after a few years I lost interest in smoking Pot. I think it affected my memory and made me lazy. I believe I lost my motivation even though when I first started smoking Pot I felt it made more creative in general. That didn't last for me so I quit. I'm glad it does help the very ill and makes their lives more comfortable.
