Poll: Are you selfish?
It's three weeks before Christmas and you find out your office is taking up a donation for a co-worker in need. She is a single parent with five children, and she won't be able to buy gifts and food for Christmas dinner this year. Would you:
a) Act like you forgot the deadline to turn in your donation because you don't feel like giving this year. After all, she shouldn't have had that many kids if she couldn't afford to take care of them.
b) Donate a few bucks but whine and complain about it in the process. In the back of your mind you're thinking "Why do poor people exist?".
c) Gladly donate a generous amount ($20 or more) and ask if there is anything else that you can do to help this family have a good Christmas this year? You realize that not everyone is fortunate.
d) Flat out refuse to donate anything. That's money that you could be using to purchase Christmas gifts for your own family and friends.
Answers: I would have to go with C.
Besides isn't that what Christmas is all about giving?

Isn't that really the whole message behind Christmas anyway? Offering hope to those less fortunate. I would have gave her something if i had money Single parent with FIVE children? Maybe she wouldn't need donations if she learned how to stay off aDick.

im not selfish i dnt even get presents off my own family they make excusses all the time since i was born
so i no wat selfish is E. I go get her some gift cards for local stores, and wish her a merry christmas. I tell her that if she needs anything, at anytime, She can ask me, and I'll help if possible.
I've been in a pinch a time or two, and I never forget the actions of those who have helped me. just let her have it
then get something from my friends muahahah C) because i have a good heart C) I can't let children go hungry because they are helpless,karma is a biitch and most of us are not far away from being in the same boat.Life is way to unpredictable to look at some one and judge them.When you act selfish and better than everyone it will come back to bite you on the @ss. Definitely donate and buy each child a gift too.
