its just a trend that follows from Mexico.. due to the fact that they all want to be the best.. they call themselves "EL...(whatever the name is)" allthough what ppl dont realize is that there is no Mexican restaurant that has the best of everything.. every restaurant has a dish better then the next.. if that makes sense.. well honestly they have "EL" in the beginning of each name because its like saying "THE RESTAURANT" claiming they are the best, in a way thats what it means... it goes very deep into drug running.. j/k i got carried away.. but yeah the reason why they all start with "EL" is because they all want to seem that they are "THE" (EL) best.
El means "The" and most Mexican resurauts aren't franchises, enabling them to use a definate article.
With Taco Bell, there's a million of em so there's really no reason to say The Taco Bell, unless it's the only one in town, in which case you might. If you also spoke spanish, you might say, "El Taco Bell." but I can't be for certain because I don't know Spanish.
