Is it really a victory by getting "Best Answer" when the voters decide!

Question: Seems hollow to me. Why ask if you won't choose?

Answers: Seems hollow to me. Why ask if you won't choose?
I totally agree, I always feel that way, I like getting a little comment, or seeing how helpful the asker found my answer.
yes
yes..it is....even if i was the only one voting..
It does feel less satisfying, I agree.
If we knew those who vote for us or gave us thumbs up, wouldn't it be great!
Only if you don't vote for your own answers.
i think its because people are lazy or dont care for the most part.
sometimes i have a hard time deciding when all the answers are really good or when all the answers are really similar, but hey 10 points is 10 points no matter how you get them
No, they always pick the one on top!
well...it does make ya feel pretty darn good knowing your answer was chosen over everyone Else's :)
I guess.
Victory for the answerer, sometimes the asker forgets to check. His points are lost, not the answerer. As the saying goes "you snooze you lose!"
I say people should choose a best answer...because thats why people answer and its not fair if you don't pick!
I agree with you, I never understood why the asker sometimes never votes, you get points for it.
yes it is as they still think u the best answer
yes
well,if people could be bothered who asked the question to decide it wouldnt get to the voters,but......there choice
If i get 12 points on a question instead of 2, then i'd call that a victory.
It looses something, but I'll still take it!
It is especially if it took a lot of votes. Or if the asker has some definite opinion on something and would never vote your answer the best.
My thoughts exactly, I think it's wasted points and a bit ignorant really, when someone has taken the time to answer a question and research it as well and then it goes to the vote, no that's not on.
I will take a best answer any way it comes to me. I am not shallow and I do not give a crap.
Sometimes there are so many good answers that it is hard to choose just one. If the voters decide, I think that's even better, because then you know several people chose your answer instead of just one. And usually the voters are the same people who gave pretty good answers themselves.
lollllllll =]
good point.
best of luck.my wishes to ya!
