What did he need it for? I'm not rich and I do charity work. I don't hand out cash on the street for people to buy liquor or drugs with. I buy a bus pass every month and don't usually carry any cash on me. That's dangerous, what with all the tramps out there, cold and hungry in the rain.

I'd use my bus fare to go home, get some blankets and food, than walk back to the tramp, give them to him and walk back. I would not give him my bus fare.
