Question: I think some is good, but the rest of it is so hard to understand what they are trying to say,, and I cant seem to get the main idea of the song. And the is toooo many curse word in them songs, it's always about drugs, and sexual activities. I would rather have the 80's back...

In general, it's not that bad. You have your really good music, but then you have your extremely annoying music. It all evens out =)
Music hasn't been good since '95.
I feel the creativity of music is comeing to an end. Everyone is making so many different kinds now. It'll soon sound like all the sounds jumbled together into a load of crap. Then that'll be the hip sound. And then...only god know's where the world is then.
It's not as good as the music from years ago.

Most music is rubbish promoted to extremes by record labels just in it for the money. The good original stuff never gets air played because they control the market place.
I don't like it that is why I don't listen to music today.

Some of them are meaningful, but I prefer the music of the old days. There are more .... entertaining.
It depends on the genre. I'm mostly into industrial/EBM and metal. I think staright pure metal is stale. All the cool riffs have been used and we are running out of riffs man.
Well it all depends on what genre of music you are talking about. I listen to just about everything, but some songs are so stupid (ie Lil Mama Lip Gloss) could she not find anything else to make a song about. Some of the new country songs are pretty good. I don't listen to metal, classical or opera so i think all of it is garbage. And why do some ppl do remakes on songs that they probably know that they shouldn't even attempt. If the orginal was a hit then leave it alone, because it's probably not be a hit the 2nd time.
The only music today is from at least 15 or 20 years ago. The rest sounds like three pigs trying to get through a two-pig hole in a fence at the same time.
i stopped listening to music in the 1980's. because i found it caused more depression than anything else.
I liked singing hymns in congregation i dont like opera and i dont like gosep music. I do listen to rock and contemporary christian music but i find that christian music is full of abomination just as sure as the rolling stones are filled with wickedness and satan worship.
whats wrong with todays music is the age old accusation that most of it evil and wicked. You have to sell you souls to the devil, and sign the contracts of devil worshippers to get large merchandising and top income.
only 1/4 of all music is judged to be worthy to listen to.
