Can one honestly have a meaningful relationship with another person 2,836 miles !

Question: A meaningful relationship comes with human contact. If the people in the "relationship" have no intentions of ever meeting in real life...how meaningful is it?

Sure, people have met and married and found "true love" so I ain't saying that it can never happen...

lmfao... no.
No I don't think so.
nope. they NEVER work.
I had one, and now we are happily married.. The only thing that matters is how are you capable to love a person..
No.
You would both go crazy, unless you could teleport or something.
There can be a type of relationship, but honestly no.
if that distance is only for a short period of time, but long term i wouldn't put money on it lasting
not gonna happen my friend, so many people have tried in this day of internet relationships, but it just never works
Depends? When I lived in Germany my relationship with my mom got even deeper. She was in the states.
yeah... it will keep you from fighting :)
yeah but clearly that can't go on for ever...they have to at least have plans to close the gap at some point in the future
not really.

now if they were only 2835 miles away, that's another question. (but, no surprise, the answer is the same!)
Depends on what you mean by meaningful....anything is possible I guess. Wait, did you mapquest the exact distance?
You can have a nice time writing letters, but I don't know about meaningful relationship. Though I'm not saying it's impossible, in fact I'm all for it.
yes, as long as theres trust
No. No one can honestly have a meaningful relationship with ANYONE, regardless of proximity. No one really knows anyone else whatsoever. Anyone thinking they know someone is fooling themselves. Familiarity is all we can hope for. If someone is familiar, distance doesn't matter, since it doesn't matter to begin with.
No
if what you have between you is real than things should work good luck
Yeah I think so.

(so is that how far away we are from each other? ;) )
Well, they have never worked out for me. There is always a trust issue. They could be out doing anything or dating someone else and you would never know about it. I tried 2 long distance relationships and they both ended because of trust issues on both parts.
Some people are good at it, some dont. I tried once, and it did not worked. You'll work your as* off trying to make excuses and petty explanations on how things just wouldnt turn out right. Dude, cynic or no cynic, Long distance relationships are definitely a high maintenance job. Or if you have utter disregard of other people's feelings, then keep the long distance girl and go check the local scene for that meantime-girl when you get bored. Im evil, but very practical.
Help me Obi One, you're my only hope.
yes, depending on what type of realtionship it is. friends i would say yes, lovers...probably not.
um...i think Tommy Lee can...
Sure but, I think it will be short lived..
