it was my b-day Saturday and my best friend didn't even call me, but i'm not to mad at him b/c he's very forgetful **smokes too much** but i know he still loves me. i think it would be nice to give money and a card.

I do not know. Maybe take them out to dinner- your treat- and tell your friend that was your surprise for them. Do not take them to 'Denny's' or 'Burger King'. Find a nice, reasonable priced restaurant and treat them out.

Tell them you missed it and that their birthday isn't the most important thing in your life. If this really bothers then, tell them you were just kidding and say you lost all your calendars and that you think it's still August.
