I decorated my house for Halloween, mainly because ~see details below~?!

Question: I have a granddaughter who will be a year at the end of November. I bought the big electric carved pumpkins (of course they aren't real, but they are super looking). I bought them because people smash the real ones. Last night they stole mine. Should I replace them for Maddy (my granddaughter as she will be here for halloween and a lot before then or should I not? I live in a large lot. It took a lot of balls to come all the way up to my property. I actually am scared because my alarm did not go off. One pumpkin was on the porch.
Do you think it was kids or was it someone testing my alarm system? Do I even have a right to be scared? Should I call the alarm people now, like immedaitely and have them make it more sensitive? Am I over reacting? I live in small town America where there is virtually no crime except teens who play stupid pranks once in a while. They stole one of my heavy urns when we moved here but brought it back two days later.

hmmm maybe considering getting those motion sensor lights that turn on as soon as someone walks on your property...it might scare the little vandals away. read over your alarm system capabilities and see if you can upgrade its sensitivity...some ppl really suck =(

replace them the day she visits, and give your alarm company hel l for the alrm not going off
