I dont understand how Spongebob is funny, sweater of eyelashes?!
Question: My niece has been laughing endlessly now about an episode of Spongebob where he makes a sweater of eyelashes for Squidward. I don't get it, can someone please explain?

He ends up making another sweater out of tears.
The gag is that SB is very "eyelashy" and has plenty of them to go around.
That episode was called "Dying For Pie" and if you watched it all the way through, you'd think it was pretty funny too. SB is made for children but there's bits put purposly in there for adults to find funny and leave kids dumbfounded.
Employees of the Krusty Krab have to exchange gifts. Squidward forgot Spongebob's gift and rejected his "eyelash" sweater that SB made for him. (Employees have to actually MAKE their own presents to give.)
He ends up cheating and buying what he thinks is a pie for SB's present that is really a bomb which he thinks SB has eaten. Out of good will, he is obliged to spend the rest of the day with the cute yellow sponge, doing whatever SB wants to do. (Which you can imagine is outrageous and embarrassing acts.)
SB is thought to be doomed to blow up in yellow peieces once the pie hits his lower intestine at the end of the day. It turns out he had the pie in his pocket the whole time, but ends up tripping on a rock, making the pie fall out of his hand, causing a completly catastrophic explosion. (Taking up the entire Pacific Ocean and Hawaii and California and neighboring states.
In the end, in a charred Bikini Bottom, Squidward says "Ohhhhhowch"
She's a kid. Kids think anything is funny.
That show is for children and those whom are still young at heart.

You won't understand, it's a kid thing. My little brother laughs a some of the most obscure stuff imaginable. Just enjoy the sound of the laughter.
