I fell off a 6 ft tall bunkbed when I was in grade 4 at camp. I woke up half way down.... it was quite fun actually, and I didn't get hurt at all. I think I landed perfectly flat, so it distributed the force.
my son does. I'll be laying in bed and hear "THUMP! ...WAAA!!"

yes several times. mostly i was drunk and my bed moved so i over-compensated and wound up on the floor (my job entails sleeping on a boat quite often and if its rough the bed moves a LOT).
and once when i was little i was really thin so i slid between the rails of my bunk bed and fell on the floor but not before waking up caught by my neck because my head didnt fit under the railing as easily as the rest of me! as soon as i turned my head i went CRASH onto the floor before i even knew what was happening.
