Buy some thing popular with the ￡5, then sell it for ￡7, then buy something popular with the ￡7, sell it for ￡10, then with the ￡10 do the same, until you are left with ￡20! Then spend ￡5 on flowers, ￡5 on your haircut, ￡5 for petrol and ￡5 for beer!

None of the above. Whenever I get a $5 bill, I put in my savings passbook and periodically take it to the bank. I read somewhere that that was a good way to get into the habit of saving.
