Opinions matter, but does it mean anything without experience.....?!
Question: take for example advice given on here and the thumbs down. do you answer from experience or just because 'its what you think' if i ask a question, although someones opinion is respected, i would prefer they were talking from experience rather than from a theoretical point of view (in respect of serious questions)
or what about advice given in your everyday life, away from this site. who do you take advice from, if anyone?

I only try to give advice from experience - otherwise, you can only talk it through with the other person, give them the pros and cons and try to get them to make up their own minds.
I generally dont take advice unless its from experience too - I'm pig headed and like to find things out myself :)
